Introducing Emmy Shoes

Emmy London is a luxury shoe and accessories brand that encompasses undeniable beauty, bespoke craftsmanship and the quintessentially British style.

Founded in 2004 by Creative Director Emmy Scarterfield, Emmy London has gone from strength to strength and is now an established brand in the luxury bridal and event market with huge support from the Press, along with an ever-growing prestigious client list. From beautiful wedding shoes to chic courts and show-stopping party shoes the brand epitomises feminine, elegant and sublimely comfortable design. 

Emmy London’s shoe collections consist of timeless classic inspired lasts, heels and the best Italian suedes and leathers to craft classic, timeless silhouettes to complement looks for every occasion. Leading craftsmen in a dedicated workshop use skills passed down the generations to produce the intricately delicate designs immaculately.

Swarovski crystal, Mother of Pearl shell and cut glass beading are used to create Emmy London's signature embellishments that add a touch of decadent luxury to every collection. After leaving the workshop, our shoes and hair decorations are hand finished in our London studio, where our talented team carefully attach trims and embellishments.

Attention to detail is at the core of the brand identity; each shoe is finished with a Swarovski crystal on the sole. For wedding shoes Brides often choose a blue crystal for their traditional something blue. All our pieces are packaged like gifts with signature ribbon and crystal-embellished boxes to keep your heirlooms looking perfect for years to come.

About The Designer

Emmy grew up in Somerset where she recalls as a child, putting wooden building blocks in to her socks to create instant high heels.

Following her degree at the prestigious Cordwainers College, Emmy worked for five years in Italy for some of top names in accessories including Bottega Veneta and Giorgio Armani. Their craftsmanship and the accuracy of their work has continued to inspire Emmy. 

On her return to the UK Emmy set her sights high on creating her own luxury brand. As her friends started getting married, Emmy spotted a gap in the market for stunning, graceful and feminine bridal shoes and brought her unique creative vision to the luxury wedding market.

Braids For Brides

We are seeing braids all over the place lately and we cannot get enough. They are beautiful and can be worn for any type of wedding, so we put together a little inspiration for those who adore these creations as much as we do.

The crown braid is effortlessly elegant. Fits into nearly any wedding style, it can be tight and neat or pulled with loose hanging curls to make it more rustic looking. Every girl loves a crown and places little flowers in between is something we absolutely adore for this bridal hair look.

Fishtail braids are a wonderful way to have your hair when you are wanting it out the way but still want to show the gorgeous length you have. Wonderful for country weddings and always looking magical from all angles. 

Side braids can also be a wonderful way to incorporate your flowers into. By simply pushing a few pulled flowers from your bouquet into it, it makes for wonderful photos and really brings a summer feel to your big day. Why not try a loose pulled braid, keeping the shape of the braid but keeping it loose with fly away hairs but create a beautiful look for those rustic country brides.

A lot of brides are going for hair down instead of up so show off their long locks but braiding front parts back and wrapping it around, with big loose waves makes for a glorious wedding hairstyle. This makes us dream of a more laid back perhaps beach wedding with flowing curls in the wind. Keeping your hair off your face as the breeze blows and making for romantic photos as the sun sets.

For those brides who love a big flowing ponytail, you can create a stunning hairstyle with braiding parts of your hair back into it. Fabulous for festival or boho weddings, not perfectly crafted but from any angle it looks dramatic and you'll always look back on your photos and think wow my hair looks fabulous.

Festival Wedding

We absolutely love festival vibes at a wedding. Live music, homemade decorations, flowers everywhere and everyone having the best time. As the sunshine gets brighter we felt now is the perfect time to inspire you with out festival wedding vision. 

Our Claire Pettibone dress, Georgia is our lady of the moment in our day dream with her delicate lace details and beautifully fitted shape it's perfect for the chilled out vibes and easy flowing music of the big day. Effortlessly fitting in with the bright colours around her and light as a feather she is the obvious choice for the bride of the day. 

Even though it's a chilled out atmosphere you can't say no to a beautiful sparkling, eye catching pair of shoes. Emmy Shoes are perfect for this theme and help us no matter what we prefer. For those who needs heels we chose our shoes to be out something blue with Eva. For those who want to dance until the sun comes back up, we chose Carine. A super cute pair of sparkly flats. And for those who want the height but also the comfort and not to sink into the ground, we selected Leila, the ivory wedge wonders! 

Festivals are always about bright colours, standing out and the odd quirky details. There can never be enough colour at a wedding, the bouquets are bright and blossoming, a back drop of flowers to say I do against and get that perfect wedding shot, and of course, the brightest cake that makes everyone smile and say wow! Night Glow

The beautiful glow that our shop puts out at night time is something we felt we had to show off. The light through the dresses shows off their amazing colours and how the glow in the sunlight. Summer is on its way and for those of you choosing your dresses now is the time to be ordering in time for your sunshine wedding.

Our wedding spring windows are something a little different. Centre stage goes to our stunning Shell Belle range of lingerie and loungewear. The kimono is a hugely popular item in our shop, we all adore it and need one for ourselves. The fabulous shoes are by Diane Hassall, Rainbow Club. Keeping the gorgeous dusty pink colour.

The left window shows off our Naomi Neoh beaut, Esme and her bridesmaid Georgina by Maids To Measure. They compliment each other perfect with their pale hues and are perfection for a summer wedding.

On the right Primrose by Naomi Neoh fills the window with her flowing full silk skirt, accompanied by another fabulous Maids To Measure gown which is a multi maid. This glorious grey beauty can be worn in several different ways, which is such a good choice if you have bridesmaids with different styles. They can all wear the same dress but chose how they style it.

Symphony By The Sea Giveaway

Inspired by the last night of the Proms, enjoy some of the most popular classics performed on the beach by the full, 37 piece Cornish Sinfonia Orchestra, culminating in a spectacular cliff top firework display.

We have teamed up with the lovely people over at Lusty Glaze Beach and together we are giving away 2 tickets to this perfect night on the sands of a beautiful beach. A summer evening of stunning music to share with one of your favourite people. The event will be the most ambitious concert ever staged at Lusty Glaze Beach. The Cornish Sinfonia Orchestra will fill the cove with uplifting tunes and classical favourites, building to a crescendo with spectacular a choreographed firework display that will set the night sky alight.

Since its launch in 1999, Cornwall's own orchestra, Cornish Sinfonia, has established a stronghold within the cultural life of the county. The orchestra is made up of the finest players from Cornwall, Devon and further afield.

Symphony by the Sea is set to be one of the highlights of a sizzling summer at Lusty Glaze, as thousands of people of all ages flock to the beach to witness the Cornish Sinfonia Orchestra perform an evening of classical music, against the backdrop of Cornwall’s stunning coastline.

A series of shelters will be erected on the beach for the Last Night of the Proms style event on Sunday 31^st July 2016, providing an all-weather solution for the unique outdoor concert.

Breathtaking geographical features make Lusty Glaze Beach very unique and special. However, being surrounded by 80-100ft cliffs, there is only one access point and this is via the famous 133 steps. There are resting places every 10-12 steps but access may still be difficult for the less able or elderly guests.

Welcome To Love A

It has been a crazy week in The Bridal House Of Cornwall welcoming Love A into our store. Love A is a new independent business set up by the wonderful Amy Griffiths. She has set up shop in our mansion house to bring you all your pamper options on site. The inspiration and drive behind the business is to provide quality beauty treatments, with quality products at affordable prices. 

Of course all of us in our shop get everything done by Amy we cannot recommend her enough, but having her on site helps you out too. Shopping for your dress? Think over your decision after your appointment by getting your nails done. Stressed from all your busy wedding planning? Visit Amy for a calming massage. 

Love A is also available for shellac fingers, toes and removal, manicures, pedicures, waxing, sensational massages, tinting (brow and lashes) and even little package if you wanted to treat yourself or someone close to you!

Her opening night was such a fabulous event with a wonderful turn out and we wish Amy all the best and we can't wait to see her beautiful creations.
